This small strip of grass is what was saved from the 2015 fires. The red hue to due to the fire retardant that the firefighters laid down by flying low with an airplane to lay down defensive lines to help protect nearby homes.
These trees expressed brush fires around their trunks. It is not completely clear if they will recover or not, but at closer range there is still green amongst the branches.
This is overlooking Lake Chelan looking north to Manson which is near the bend in the lake. The lake itself is some 60 miles long, and this picture only captures a small part of it.
