Kingston, WA
We finally had a bit more sun today in the Pacific Northwest. I took the opportunity to spend the afternoon in Kingston, WA. I had originally planned on driving through the Olympic Peninsula today; but, I ultimately decided against this when I passed 1+ hour car-line on the way to the ferries. I instead walked onto the ferry from Edmonds, WA. Once in Kingston I enjoyed their local farmers' market before taking walking along the public shoreline extending north from the pier. I eventually found myself a place in the shade and promptly feel asleep. When I was not thoroughly enjoy the sound of the waves on the shore a few feet from my feet I used the chance to take some photographs. Hopefully you enjoy them as much as I did taking them.
There is actually too much sun to be useful for many of these shots. I really need a lens hood and polarizing filter; however, the camera I use (Canon S5 IS) really is at its limits in these situations.
